Why Touro’s College of Education and Health Sciences?

The CEHS is comprised of programs in Education, Nursing, Physician Assistant, and Public Health.

I choose to lead this college because of our unwavering focus on social justice and serving the community based on Judaic values in the areas of health and education; in exact alignment with my philosophy of local impact. This includes a commitment to diversity and inclusion as integral to our core mission.

Our CEHS students choose Touro University California because of their ability to make a difference for underserved communities which many times represent their own home communities. We are located in Vallejo California specifically on Mare Island in the North Bay Area which has been named the most diverse city in the nation and is located on the water and just an hour ferry ride to San Francisco and 20 minutes to Napa Valley.

Our TUC family serves the community by participating in the Student Run Free Clinic, the Touro Mobile Diabetes Education Center, regular events to serve the homeless, teaching and tutoring in schools, mentoring high school students, and providing basic health screenings to the general community. Our faculty provide engaging classroom experiences as well as clinical opportunities to advance your career potential.

If your values align with us, and you like a small historical campus with hands-on attention, we welcome you to apply and join the ranks of our amazing alumni who are currently leaders in schools, hospitals, non-profits, and city and county offices.
