The Center for Molecular Dynamics Nepal (CMDN), established in 2007, prides itself as a research driven nongovernmental organization dedicated to promoting research in the country. With its team of energetic and highly motivated experts, CMDN is now recognized as the leading public health and wildlife research organization in the country. CMDN strives to introduce appropriate, effective and innovative solutions to address many challenges in the areas of epidemiological studies, disease surveillance, health research, environmental and biodiversity research and policy analysis.
Students have assisted CMDN on projects that serve to identify trends in prevalence and risk behaviors of HIV/STIs in key populations; conduct research on the strategy for saving lives among people with HIV/AIDS via cryptococcal antigen screening and preemptive treatment; operate campaigns that strive to meet global standards for measles elimination goals; improve cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination; and gather data on rural community practices and identify risk factors for potential emergency of zoonotic disease in poultry farming community.
